Brainiacs Trivia Games
Want to learn neuroscience in a new way in the classroom or at home? We’ve created fun neuroscience trivia games for 4 age groups, in both physical and virtual formats. Find the right game for you and test your knowledge, learn more about neuroscience, and play with friends!
Card Game
Our Brainiacs Card Game is our physical card game that can be played with two or more people. It comes as printable cards that need to be cut out. For printing settings, choose double-sided printing with a flip on the long side. The cards are also numbered for ease and matching answers to the questions. It is available in 4 age groups:short, engaging introduction. Double click to edit and add your own text.
After printing and cutting out the cards, each card should be double-sided (blue question side and pink answer side). Organize all the cards into a single deck with the blue question sides facing up. Place in the center. Have one person read the question on the card while the other person(s) guess. Whoever gets the correct answer and answers first keeps the card. For groups of more than two, make sure different people get a chance to read the questions aloud (recommended to go in a circle). Continue until all the cards have been answered, and at the end count to see who has the most cards.
Virtual Game
Our Brainiacs Virtual Game is our virtual option, perfect for home or classroom settings with a large screen. It is best played with at least one host and at least two to three more people. Teams are also encouraged for collaboration and brainstorming
The host will facilitate the game by clicking through the questions and revealing the answer after a team/player attempts to answer each question. For the first round, decide by random selection which player/team will go first, then go to each player/team so that everyone has a turn. A question should be answered first by the player/team whose turn it is, but if they get it wrong, any other team/player can also answer on a first-come, first-served basis. Test your knowledge, learn more about neuroscience, and have fun!
